Our mission is to distribute and archive works of time-based art. Each issue highlights artists working in new or experimental media, whose works are best documented in video or sound.

Meredith Kooi

Meredith Kooi is an MA candidate in Visual and Critical Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and she received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Denison University.  She is a participant in the conference series Stone Summer Theory Institute at the Art Institute of Chicago and has a forthcoming paper in the Visual Studies Reader.  Her work as an artist, writer, and theorist explores cultural perceptions of the body and difference.  Her research interests include psychoanalytic theory, disability theory, history of science, and post-structuralism.  She also enjoys gardening and walking her dog, Belle.
