Our mission is to distribute and archive works of time-based art. Each issue highlights artists working in new or experimental media, whose works are best documented in video or sound.

Matthew Nash

Matthew Nash is a visual and performance artist, writer, and teacher. He is half of the collaborative Harvey Loves Harvey, which produces music, installation, and video projects to study themes of communication, friendship, and technology. Using humor and their own brand of “pseudo-science,” Nash and partner Jason Dean collaborate under the name Harvey Loves Harvey. They use themselves as surrogates for forms of communication and involve their audience in the pseudo-scientific studies that they create. Harvey Loves Harvey's video "Your Harvey At Work" appeared in ASPECT volume 5.

Nash also co-founded the Number Foundation, a collective of artists based in the New York/New Jersey area. He is Assistant Professor of New Media at The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. He is publisher of the arts journal Big RED and Shiny, which provides criticism and commentary of the Boston arts scene. Nash is an award-winning web designer, recipient of five grants from the LEF Foundation (for Big RED & Shiny), and occasional exhibition curator. He received a BFA from SMFA/Tufts University (’98). Harvey Loves Harvey is represented by Judi Rotenberg Gallery in Boston.
