Our mission is to distribute and archive works of time-based art. Each issue highlights artists working in new or experimental media, whose works are best documented in video or sound.

Steven McCarthy

Steven McCarthy has an MFA in design from Stanford University and a BFA in sculpture and drawing from Bradley University. He is a professor of graphic and interactive design at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus. His creative work has been in over eighty juried and invitational exhibitions and his artist’s books are in some prestigious collections. Steven also publishes essays in the graphic design trade press, and peer-reviewed papers in academic journals. He is known internationally for his contributions to developing a theory of design authorship.
