Our mission is to distribute and archive works of time-based art. Each issue highlights artists working in new or experimental media, whose works are best documented in video or sound.

Lana Z Caplan

Lana Z Caplan is film/videomaker, photographer and installation artist. She works with super8, found footage, video, interactive projections, and alterative processes photography in her pieces that explore relationships, mortality and social issues. She has exhibited nationally and internationally including the National Gallery, (San Juan, PR); MadCat Women’s International Film Festival (San Francisco, CA; "FICCO"(Festival Internacional de Cine Contemporáneo), Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo, (Mexico City); Festival Cap Sembrat 3, (Barcelona, Spain); Danforth Museum of Art, (MA); Gallery NAGA, (Boston, MA); John Stevenson Gallery, (NY, NY). Lana has received grants and fellowships from Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Puffin Foundation and the Wexner Center for the Arts Residency Program, where she completed her first feature length project, Sospira, shot in Positano, Italy. Lana has also been a contributing faculty member at Massachusetts College of Art and Design since 2005.
