Elizabeth Watkins

Elizabeth Anne Watkins was born in Los Angeles in 1984, and is now working in Cambridge, Massachusetts towards a Master of Science in Art, Culture and Technology at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning. She works with issues of cognition and memory, time, and historiography to grasp the wider narratives through which people construct themselves and the world around them. She finds that such complex questions demand an equally complex methodology of inquiry, so she works through a combination of video, installation, text, sculpture and drawing. Each work is an attempt to wrest fleeting elucidations from the terrifying, the unknowable.
