Our mission is to distribute and archive works of time-based art. Each issue highlights artists working in new or experimental media, whose works are best documented in video or sound.

Dirk Adams

Dirk Adams creates work in sound, installation, and performance art that explores language, memory, social dynamics, and cultural phenomena through various strategies. Since 2003, he has created several headphone-based audio works for public spaces that intertwine elements of audio tour, instructional performance, and storytelling.

Adams has exhibited sound, performance, and video work in Boston, MA; New York, NY; Vancouver, BC; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Bogota, Colombia; Beijing, China; and Merida, Mexico. Adams holds a BA in sociology at the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MFA from Tufts University. He was a co-owner and co-curator of Meme Gallery in Cambridge, MA from 2009-2011.
