Our mission is to distribute and archive works of time-based art. Each issue highlights artists working in new or experimental media, whose works are best documented in video or sound.

Carol Becker

Carol Becker is Dean of Faculty at Columbia University’s School of the Arts. From 1994 to 2007 Becker served as Senior Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She received a BA from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a PhD, from University of California, San Diego. Published books include: The Invisible Drama: Women and the Anxiety of Change (in seven languages); The Subversive Imagination: Artists, Society, and Social Responsibility; Zones of Contention: Essays on art, institutions, gender; Surpassing the Spectacle: Global Transformations and the Changing Politics of Art.
