‘Myth power' uses Beijing as an example of China's large cities, documenting citizens doing morning exercise in 1990s. The video presents different groups composed of different ages and classes. While pursuing good health during morning exercise, they attempt to attain spiritual satisfaction.

The video attempts to reveal the deficient spiritual state of China in the 1990s, at a time when material life was greatly enhanced by the economic "opening up" of the country by the state. Myth Power is a record of fragmental scenes from that time, questioning this contradiction of the material and spiritual.
