The title comes from the definition of "portmanteau," coined by Lewis Carroll: a new word concocted by fusing two different words together. The dual-screen format illustrates the two faces of hope and desolation; it introduces two subjectivities--simultaneous yet fragmented--opening up time and space to its alternates.
