Jean-Luc Soret
Jean-Luc Soret is the artistic director and co-founder of the @rt Outsiders International Festival that was launched in 2000 at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (European House of Photography) in Paris. This annual show devoted to digital art and to cutting-edge creation revolves around themes such as: Image (2000), the Avatar (2001), Bio Art (2002), Space Art (2003), Censorship (2004), Brasil (2005). In 1999 and 2000, Jean-Luc Soret chronicled innovations in digital art on Radio Station FG. Since 2003, he has been a teacher at Paris University (Panthéon – Sorbonne) in the faculty of Art and Cultural Specialties, he’s joined the MIR ((Microgravity Interdisciplinary Research) network and has been working strategically with Arts Catalyst and Leonardo/Olats to promote the field of space art. He is a member of the Advisory Committee of Leonardo/OLATS and of the Zero Gravity Arts Consortium.
He is also collaborating on the multimedia stage decoration of Marcel Landowski’s opera " Le Fou " (The Fool), produced by the Théâtre du Châtelet (performances at the Théâtre de Mogador – February 2004).
Jean-Luc Soret is the president of the agence SpaceArtOne created in 2004 and devoted to space art production and promotion.
He is also collaborating on the multimedia stage decoration of Marcel Landowski’s opera " Le Fou " (The Fool), produced by the Théâtre du Châtelet (performances at the Théâtre de Mogador – February 2004).
