Tom Toomey
Thomas N. Toomey was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1952. He retired from the U. S. Army in 1991. In 1996 he went back to school using his G. I. Bill and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic Design Management and a Masters of Science Degree in Technology Education at Central Connecticut State University. He than went on to earn his Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts (Video and Photography) at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University in 2006. His work has been shown throughout New England and New York including the Aldridge Museum of Contemporary Art, Ridgefield, CT. Many of his projections are very large. The video art pieces he projected on to the Edison building at Kenmore Square in Boston, MA were 63 feet wide.
